I was just wondering, I started my campaign on a Early Era campaign, will I be able to unlock Gunpowder units ect, as I cannot find them on the Custom Battle screens.

Yes but its going to be a long time. First cannon aren't for about 200 turns and handguns even longer.

140*, maybe 142 if I recall correctly.
Thanks for the quick response, to the both of you. Can I also ask is it possible for Nottingham to be upgraded to a Fortress; and if so, how much population does it need?
<population_levels>
<!-- city -->
<level name="village" base="500" upgrade="1000" min="500" max="1500"/>
<level name="town" base="1000" upgrade="3000" min="500" max="5000"/>

<level name="city" base="9000" upgrade="17000" min="500" max="25000"/>
<level name="large_city" base="17000" upgrade="34000" min="500" max="60000"/>

<level name="castle" base="3000" upgrade="8500" min="500" max="10000"/>

From the SS 6.3. IIRC, this changed in 6.4. Maybe it was misery rate and chilvary helping the population to grow and not the number necessary to upgrade, but still this might be wrong for .4
If you use SS 6.4 it might actually be 10.000 or more.
My final question, I'm getting CTD at the end of turn 51, is this a common bug with a fix? I have trouble installing SS6.4
I'm new here and get trouble understanding acronyms, what's a CTD? Is that a STD?
This never happened to me. In SS at least. No clue.
Guys,
If you are using 6.3, you need to install the 6.3 Bug fix for Turn 51, if you have 6.4 installed then not required as fixed.
Nottingham can be a Fortress, you just need a chivarous General in place, think population required is 8500 according to what was posted earlier, its 9500 for 6.4

Can someone point me to the 6.3 bugfix as I'm quite new to the SS Sub-Forum
