CTD on bribes?

Just curious...I have a long time Rome campaign and I never tried bribing any other faction characters before.

I tried a couple of times with various people and when the bribe goes through it ctd's. Is this intended?

No it's certainly not intended, but there is a long-standing RTW bug (with Alex?) with CTD's when bribing.

This had not been reported in a long time, but was a bug in RS2.1a as well. I'm not sure what causes it, or whether it's BI\Alex or what's going on. I have never been able to find a cause. My advice is simply not to try bribing characters.

Mine is BI although I guess that makes it BI/ALEX as you said.

I used to have fun bribing characters and then using them in various capacities......Is this unique to the Romans? or does CTD factor on all factions?

I 'think' it is a bug in the Romans. Have not heard of it in other factions, but don't hold me to that.
