Sound won't work for Napoleon anymore. Need help.

I installed the great war mod and then I didn't like it so I deleted the files. Now when I load up Napoleon I can't get any sound past the intro video before the menu. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it and nothing works. I'm out of idea's.

This is better suited to the Napoleon total war technical problems forum, those guys will be able to help you alot. In the mean time, have you deleted the NTW folder before you re-install it?

Welcome to TWC.
First off, post your dxdiag in a spoiler (delete computername, region and ip informations before posting there), and describe your problem.

Rather than that, make a new user.script on your desktop, an empty txt file in notepad named user.script, than find :
Windows Vista and/or Win7 : C:\Users\(Your User Name Here)\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Napoleon\scripts
XP C:\Documents and Settings\(Your User Name Here)\Application Data\The Creative Assembly\Napoleon\scripts

Put the user.script that you made into that folder, if it asks to replace any files, REPLACE THEM NO MATTER WHAT and all will be Ok!

I am having the same problem,
be at mind that before i came here i not only check file integrates but re installed it as well.

Did you delete the scripts folder and verify the game cache after uninstalling it?

Verified game cache but did not delete the scripts folder

Odds are where the problem lies as it contains the user script fo rhte mod and sound settings in th preference script.

So........................how do i fix it?

Delete this.
