Default Horo in Rise of the Samurai

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horo_(cloak)

Under heading "Use", first line, it clearly states:

"Horo were used as far back as the Kamakura perod (1185–1333)."

I think they didn't include that for sake of beautiful scenes in RoTS. I tried looking for it everywhere, but I couldn't find it. Have you guys found it? Any views about the topic i.e. about them not being implemented?

The huge bonus is that without those funny arrow-magnetic backpacks, your samurai have bows which they can fire while mounted.

Are you trolling or am I supposed to answer this seriously?

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Horo is just a cloak, I saw this documentary on samurai equipment and stuff, the Horo isnt a balloon. The wind would fill the Hor, it would kind of hide the guy, and it could stop arrows, not to talk about if a general needed to run away, some of his bodyguards could run in different directions to protect the general (since the enemy wouldnt be able to know which one was the real general).

Sir, I am not trolling. I know Horo is just a cloak made for protection from arrows. The sentence "arrow-magnetic backpack" was to spice up.

The point here is that why aren't they included in RoTS, because as stated above they were used by many samurai during the RoTS campaign era i.e. Gempei War. And your views on why it wasn't included or why it should be modded in, that was second question.

And the last thing was that Shogun 2 generals have bodyguards with Horo, but they lack the bows. RoTS generals don't have Horo, but they have the advantage of horse archery. Clear?

@SamWarrior: Indeed. Generals have bows, they are great at archery, while they are armored well and can fight anyone, are excellent at swordfighting, and have huge morale. Really can be termed as heroes.

@Erwin Rommel: Nice. They could have included at least the flat Horo in RoTS. I have doubts but probably give the flat one to General at least.

I kind of like how in in the gampei dlc, generals are like super heros in the game. I'm sure horo could be incorporated through modding.

That kind of horo didnt require a frame, the HORO of S2, is the Sengoku Jidai one, where it requires a frame.

(Its clickable by the way....An S2 overhaul mod.)

Seriously. Click it. Its the only overhaul mod that's overhauling enough to bring out NEW clans

Thatz coz the Horo never was an arrow protection thingy, it was just like those sashimono, but the tsukaiban needs a distinct one out of a sea of sashimono, and what better way to spot your messenger than by attaching a huge mass of cloth rising above its back?

Later, now with added frame, added since the Onin War, the horo signifies elite troops. You get this absurdly huge ones protecting Toyotomi Hideyoshi.

I cant post the Osprey picture, but I can post this....

While some mods, allow the option to remove horo, heinous and propestrous as it seems, the Sekigahara Campaign mod, makes them BIGGER AND COLORFUL

    .........as in the pink.

But still historically accurate. (No seriously. Its recorded that Kato Yoshiaki had pink ones.)
