M2TW Unpacking problems...
So I was just about to start some retexturing, when this happened:
"This application has failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
So, I get a similar message to this about CRYPT32.dll every time I play M2TW, but it still starts. Because of this, I just clicked OK on the error message, because I was like:
"Well, if M2TW starts even though it gets an error, why not this?"
But I was wrong.
Now I know these error messages have to do with installing M2TW into my D: directory, because both of the files are in system32, in the C: directory. (Well, not MSVCP71.dll...)
So, is the following problem because I don't have MSVCP71.dll in my C: directory?

Re: M2TW Unpacking problems...
All those MSVC dlls are in your main Medieval2 folder. Just copy/paste them to the unpacker.
Do yourself a big favor and disable the UAC before you unpack.

What's the UAC?
And any ideas about solving the CRYPT32.dll problem? Is there a way to stop the error from appearing, or will I just have to live with it?

Re: M2TW Unpacking problems...
Hi everyone, i just recently bought and started playing medieval 2 total war. I really want to start unit stat editing, and to download and install broken crescent and crimson steel, but I cannot get to the unpacker, since I do not have "tools" folder in my "medieval 2" folder. It is like this SEGA/MEDIEVAL II/then a "read me", "Go to Total war website", "launch medieval II", "Read license agreement", "registration", "uninstall medieval 2", then folders for all of the Kingdoms expansions. No tools folder. If someone could help me to add mods and edit unit stats then I could truly have the best possible playing experience of any game. I posted this in another thread as well.
Thanks.
