Hey guys and gals,
I just finished my new EDU for Call of Warhammer, try it out and let me know what you think! (just copy and past this file into your call of warhammer data folder, replacing the export_descr_unit file. but dont forget to back it up)
This EDU focuses more on the Empire nations, as well as Chaos. High Elves, Dark Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs were tweaked but not that much. Vampires were not affected.
The big changes
Chaos
Marauder forces given a very slight defense boost, while Desolators given armor penetration! (finally, a reason to use them!)
Chaos Warriors and Chaos Knights- All now have "good stamina" as well as a small defensive boost.
Chaos Chosen and Chosen Knights- Each factions Chosen are very different, they are the elite of the elite, and it shows. These are the true Chaos Champions from the table top game that we have been missing. This is one I dont want to spoil so play it and crush your enemies with your Champs! (They are not rediculously overpowered, the changes were small moves, though for the Chosen, there were several for each faction)
Empire
Knightly Orders- Each order was given one specific boost, be it a stronger charge, slightly higher defense, higher movespeed, or armor penetration. They all have "good stamina". The changes make sense, ie if they use axes, they may have armor penetration, inner circle knights, being the "veteran knights" are not affected by any type of terrain, ect ect. The boosts bring a uniqueness to the orders which I felt was seriously lacking.
GreatSwords- "good stamina" , armor penetration, nuff said.
Unique Units- A few unique units were given a small buff in some way to make them different (ie averland heavy halberds +2 armor)
Note: Both the Empire and Chaos INFANTRY generals now use full size units! No more half-strength liability generals!
High/Dark Elves
Elite Units now have "good stamina" and in some cases armor penetration.
Orcs/Goblins
All Goblin forces given a very small attack and even smaller defense boost. (They are still pitiful but that is their nature
Black Orcs- Given armor penetration and weather/terrain now has little effect on these elites. Also a small boost to Destroyers attack. Unit sized slightly reduced, general unit size slightly increased.
Dwarves- Some units with axes or hammers given armor penetration
Mercenaries- Various small changes
The goal is to make the units more like the table top game, although not exactly, whatever makes sense, and to eliminate all of the carbon copy troops! If you get time let me know what you think and if you have any recommendations i'd love to hear them, and most likely put them into my EDU! Thanks!
