    Default DOTA

Hello. It seems almost of games have had DOTA type game-mods modded into strategy games and now spawned it's own set of games. It seems to me Shogun 2 would be pretty good for a DOTA type game. Has anyone attempted this yet or are mod tools too limited?

Why would I be trolling? Dota is probably the most popular strategy game on the planet at the moment.
So popular it's breached out into it's owns games. Shogun 2 uses hero units and highly detailed models with the ability to render lots on screen at once. It seems like a perfect fit. It would probably also give Total War a bigger audience, much like Counterstrike for Valve and Dota did for Warcraft. At the end of the day Creative Assembly would most likely win for supporting such a mod.

You did reply. I have no idea who you are or what you actually contributed. If you don't like DOTA, probably best just to not reply than get obnoxious about people liking something you don't.

I have played DOTA, DOTA2, League of Legends, Bloodline Champions and Heroes of Newerth. It would be safe to say i have as much if not more MOBA experience than you do.

And no, Shogun 2 would not be a good platform for a moba whatsoever.
    My suggestion for R2TW:
    Chariot Mounted Incendiary Laser Sharks

Dota had a game engine and map editor that allowed the construction of it. Shogun 2's game engine would not support a DotA like game, nor does it have a map editor/any scripting functionality at all outside of the game perimeters. Making a DotA Shogun 2 would require a redesign of the entire game from the ground up, and you'd be better off constructing it from scratch. So I don't see how this is a good idea at all.

It makes just as much sense to pitch the idea that Shogun 2 would make a great Mario-Kart game.
