    Default Targaryen Manor

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Vaela wearing her outfit as a Sentinel. Not shown is several Eldin falcon feathers in the hat, a pendant bearing the Sheikah symbol as a way to identify her for forces of the Cadre, and the armor she wears as well.

    Vaela's armor.

Name : Vaela, daughter of Eraia, daughter of Azra, son of Vayala
    Age : 19
    Race : Sheikah
    Abilities :
Having gone through the arduous training and trials of those of the Cadre not removed from their predetermined path, Vaela has learned at least the basic principles of disguises, the art of stealth, assassination methods, tracking and interrogation, and the creation of poisons along with gathering the necessary materials to create the poisons. Due to her secondary training usually taking place in environments such as the foothills of Death Mountain or the northern reaches of the Kokiri Forest, she has learned some survival skills. She is also a capable combatant, having been extensively trained in archery and several forms of swordplay by the swordmaster she was apprenticed to after completing the trials that followed her training. She has honed her tracking and combat skill along with learning parkour/freerunning from hunting dangerous creatures or chasing down heretics and other targets during her missions as a Sentinel.

Weapon(s) : Folded steel sabre and dagger, Sheikah bow, deku nuts, needles, and throwing knives. The blade, arrows, needles, and knives are usually coated in some manner of poison. She also has a rod-like device granted to her by the Venerable who assigned her to hunt down her brother that can track magical power.

Personality : Having been taught to suppress her emotions from a young age, along with being desensitized as part of the training she underwent before her induction into the Sentinels, Vaela usually acts in a aloof and stoic manner, preferring to keep her words and encounters with individuals to what she deems to be essential. When around individuals who she frequently interacts with, her family, or others who she gets to know, she is more conversational but still displays a large amount of apathy towards most things.

History : The second child born to Eraia, Vaela would experience the seizures associated with magical ability rather sparingly, usually once a week compared to her elder brother who appeared to have them every day and to a far greater intensity than hers. Marking her to have some magical prowess but not enough to warrant tearing her away from the predetermined path to be cloistered away in the Shadow Temple, Vaela would go through the training and trials of the Cadre, killing her first target at the age of eight. At the age of ten she would be deemed ready for the next phase of her path and apprenticed to a Sheikah knight who lived outside of Kakariko, traveling the lands around it, training Vaela in the arts of swordplay, archery, although she would receive some education on magic whenever the pair would return to Kakriko for the knight to report back to the Cadre.

After spending six and a half years training under the knight and accompanying her master on missions in the latter half of her training, Vaela would be inducted into the Sentinels, a sect of the Cadre that is dedicated to hunting down heretics, primarily cults of Majora, dangerous beasts, and targets that the Venerables deem to be a serious threat to Hyrule or the Cadre itself. While Sentinel is their formal name, they are more commonly known as Hunters for their assignments usually involve dealing with individual beings, cults, or beasts. Valea's first assignment as a Sentinel would be to eliminate a dodongo that was harassing travellers near Kakariko along with a group of four other Sentinels.

Following the shift to Death Stance, the Sentinels would serve as either scouts for the Sheikah forces or by patrolling the territories and towns of Hyrule under the Cadre's reign, along with rooting out any rebel outposts or sympathizers in the region. They would also be tasked with dealing with escaped criminals from the local prisons. The few members of the rebel forces would refer to the Sentinels as 'hounds', which some of the members of the Cadre who dislike them would pick up as well. Vaela would initially be assigned to a patrol near Kakariko, but after the Battle of Lon Lon Ranch, she would be moved to the capital city until she would be recalled from the field to be given a new assignment to hunt down her brother and bring him to justice for murdering a Venerable of the Cadre.

    Theme : 1, 2 . Battle 1, 2, 3.

A towering figure, covered in a black cloak and hood, appears at the front gate of the Targaryen Mansion with little fanfare, having already left its steed over an hour ago and actually walked up here.

The figure removes its hood to reveal a fair and youthful face framed by dark gold hair and with a pair of sea-blue eyes set in them, as common to the Lyseni. The man initially scarcely speaks at first, evidently suitably awed by the presence of a Dragon to speak. When he finally regains his senses, he makes a grand, sweeping bow before Rhaenys before speaking in a deep, measured voice.

"So it is true, after all...more than a few Dragons did escape the fall of Aerys, Second of his Name, rightful King of the Seven Kingdoms. You are...yes, I can see it in your hair and your eyes, a true-blooded Dragon like the others." He paused, having spoken more to himself than to Rhaenys, before properly addressing her. "My lady. May I ask you for your name?" He paused again, as though to measure himself in comparison to Rhaenys, and added in an unctuous tone, "Ah, but how impolite of me, to ask you for yours before giving you mine, as well I should have, milady - I am Eladon Ormollen, a prince of Lys."

Eladon bows again, and seats himself opposite Rhaenys as instructed. He seems surprised when Rhaenys affirmed herself as Queen, however. "Indeed, Your Majesty? I was of the impression that other Targaryens similarly escaped the fall of the Iron Throne...Prince Rhaegar, of course, fell at the Trident, and his family ruthlessly butchered by the blood-crazed lapdogs of the Usurper...but it is said that Aerys's other children, his son Viserys and his daughter Daenerys, still draw breath." He paused, as though worried that what he had just said and what he would say next could offend Rhaenys, and when he opened his mouth again he spoke very quickly, as though he was hoping Rhaenys wouldn't properly hear at least half of what he was going to say. "Their present location I'm afraid remains unknown to me, though last I had heard they were being entertained in Pentos by one of its great Magnates. And that isn't all, either; there may be others with the blood of the Dragons flowing in their veins, albeit with claims far inferior to the children of Aerys - and to you I'm sure, milady - descended from disgraced exiles such as Aerion Brightflame, or other more distant relatives."

Eladon stopped a second time, and when he spoke his tone was measured and unctuous again. "But it is said that Viserys Targaryen, Third of his Name, is increasingly resembling his father in temperament...ambitious and prepared to reclaim the Iron Throne for House Targaryen, it is true, but also arrogant, reckless, easily angered, petty and spiteful, quick to lash out at even the Magisters of Pentos should they fail to show him the respect he thinks he deserves. And his sister, the young Daenerys, is but a meek child of...how old would she be now? Thirteen, I believe." He flashed a fleeting, oily smile. "Forgive me if I were to say so, Your Majesty, but I have a nagging doubt that the Westerosi would be quick to accept Aerys II reborn on the Iron Throne, nor do they seem likely to accept a child Queen. But, a beautiful, grown and reasonable Dragon, on the other hand..."

    Name : Seraphine d'Autriche
    Age :
    Race : Vampire (Lahmian)
    Magic :
-Lore of Death : Spirit Leech, Aspect of the Dreadknight The Caress of Laniph,
Skills : Vampiric celerity and strength, fast healing, unaging, intelligent, stealthy, knowledge of courtly protocol and basic military tactics, poison-making, skilled swordswoman
Equipment : Seraphine wears the attire of a member of the Amythest Order along with a silver war mask she acquired when a Druchii raiding party attacked the town of Soreil as a disguise while being traveling. Her only weapon besides her spells is a basket-hilt rapier. In a satchel she carries various other items, such as poisons for her weapon, a few herbs, and some edible plants and biscuit-like food.
History : (wip, may change a bit tomorrow)
House d'Autriche is one of the few "Old Mousillese" noble houses that managed to keep their fiefdom when Lyonesse was awarded a large portion of the land of the Duchy of Mousilon after the corruption of Mousilon's Duke Merovech was revealed in 836/1814. Their small castle and two villages under it reside close to the beginning of the marshes that lead to Mousilon.

The daughter of Gaspard d'Autriche, Serpahine grew up learning how to navigate the web of plots and counter-plots that consume the nobility of Lyonesse, along with courtly protocol, magic after displaying magical ability at the age of seven, and basic combat training due to the occasional beastman raiding party emerging from the section of the Forest of Arden that spills into southern Lyonesse or something marching north through the marshlands from Mousilon. However, at the age of sixteen, she would flee Lyonesse to avoid being sent to the Cult of the Lady of Lake, as all noble children who display magical talent in Bretonnia are supposed to be. With a group of retainers and hired mercenaries, they fled south, skirting the edges of Mousilon to hopefully reach Tilea. However, the group would be attacked by undead controlled by a vampiric knight of the Lahmian bloodline, and Seraphine turned into a vampire in the middle of the battle for some unknown reason by the knight. However, her sire would be slain shortly after turning her by one of her surviving retainers. Unfortunately, her small group was slain and the fledgling vampire captured by the Lahmian's surviving entourage.

Taken by the vampire's surviving servants to the Lahmian coven in the lands of Couronne, Seraphine would be educated in the ways of the vampire after spending a year earning her place in the coven along with gaining the trust of the vampires. Spending around two decades as part of the coven, learning more about politics and magic, along with infiltrating several courts in various disguises. After the death of the leader of the coven in Marienburg, Seraphine would leave to travel south to Miragliano, to join the coven there while the Couronne one fought over who would be the next leader. She however would not remain in the Tilean city for long, as after managing to lure two humans into a room to feed on them, the innkeeper walked in a she was feeding and screamed for the guards. Chased out of the city, Seraphine would eventually join a mercenary group run by a Lahmian vampire specializing in assassination and spying.

The mercenary company would last a decade together before being disbanded after a failed assassination on a Estalian general, resulting in half the company being killed, including the leader. Escaping back into Bretonnia, Seraphine would reside at Mousilon for a few years, before traveling the world, remaining in various locations for at least a month to several years, usually depending on how fast the locals begin to notice the presence of a vampire. While in Remas, she heard of the Sultan's offer and joined the mercenaries heading south.

Rhaenys nods. "Good..although I could just simply go to Slaver's Bay and get Unsullied, or go to Braavos for sellswords..if necessary..but dealing with the Fists is more important...leaving them be could just set the grounds for them to undermine everything..even reveal my location to the Usurper's dogs if it would ruin the Palms, I bet."
"Of course. Hiring Unsullied and Braavosi sellswords would be much easier if Lys's pockets were open, which they naturally will be if we Palms finally topple the Fists from power. At present, the Fists have chosen long ago to recognize the Usurper and his line and have already exposed one Targaryen relative, a great-grandson of Daeron the Drunkard through the female line, leading to his rather obvious death by strangulation or as the Fists like to put it 'choking on an olive', so somehow I doubt they would help you..." Eladon's oily smile becomes ever wider.
"Yes, remaining behind the scenes and assisting..I can do that, I'm not like Viserys who goes around demanding attention and risking attention from a assassin's dagger as a result of pride and arrogance. Hm..impressive..just have to choose the right time..is there any weaknesses in their structure that we can remove to collapse their structure faster when the time comes, or any we can..influence to our side or remove?"
"The Fists have been in power further back than anyone alive can remember, indeed their rule dates back to the times of Aegon the Conqueror. Thankfully, this also means they have had more than enough time to corrupt the government structures so badly and obviously that none can deny it any longer. Furthermore, being a faction composed exclusively of and serving purely the interests of the high nobility, they never have kept an ear open and a palm extended toward the common people...needless to say, the blatant corruption and debauchery the higher Lyseni aristocracy have engaged in while their subjects went hungry or died horribly in their wars has caused more than a little resentment in the hearts and minds of the smallfolk." Now Eladon's grin took on a more wolfish appearance. "And, of course, we lesser nobles and merchants have been kept down for too long by the higher aristocracy."

"The rotting structure will come crashing down like a house of cards with a well-timed push. All we need to do is secure control of the Lyseni City Watch, currently controlled by a partisan of the Fists, and to somehow neutralize, or even win over, the two mercenary companies currently contracted to the city, the Second Sons and the Ragged Standards. Once done, we Palms will be able to rouse the might of the Lyseni people, overthrow the Fists and install ourselves in their stead. If you are still interested..." Eladon writes an address down on a slip of parchment he had brought with him, and hands it over to Rhaenys. "That is the Ormellen residence. You will find me, my immediate family and my servants there. If I have your leave, milady..." He gazes towards the door.

OOC: We can continue this in the Beyond Westeros subforum if you want to pursue Eladon's offer.

"Of course it would be. Although the people may see this as just a change of name for the ruling power..you claim to represent the people...so we can discuss that later after the Fists are gone, for as long as they remain in power, it is, like the war with Tyrosh, a less important matter...and they are just as guilty as any of the Usurper's ilk then."
