    It's a communist movie too.

Not really, it's an anti-Totalitarian movie. If it was meant to be communistic, it failed miserably, because I found myself agreeing with most of it. And I really enjoyed the end.

You agreed with the bad guys... that is very creepy.

    Edit
    Ohh you agreed with V.

    V was clearly communist.

Not really... It's a bit disgusting that that was the 'Conservative Party', since really it was more reminiscent of the Russian Communist Party or the National Socialist Party than it was of any Conservative Party I know.

Actually, Guy Fawkes was more reactionary than even Aggy here. Historically, he was an English Catholic who wanted to blow up parliament to turn the nation into a Theocracy. If V is communist then it's because it doesn't understand the history behind itself.

That said, I hated the film. I saw it once and will never see it again. There's something sacrilegious in seeing Natalie Portman's shaved head.

I can't help but agree on that... Bald Padme?

And Dan's right, though unlike Dan I liked the movie.

EDIT: Dan, just realised your pic is from Stronghold Crusader... wanna play sometime?

I don't disagree with the action, but it was performed in an incredibly inconsiderate and stupid way.

Fawkes was reactionary, but V isn't. He's an anarchist who uses the face because they both want to blow up parliament.

I hated it mostly because the whole story/background to it was awful. And a film about England shouldn't have a obviously American actor.

Well, it's more because of the original Stronghold actually. The sig is most definitely from Crusader though, but both games had awesome soundtracks. Anyway, yeah, I'd play sometime. I'm sure there are other IH'ers who own the game who might want to play too.

I hope by this you mean that blowing people up was stupid and inconsiderate.

Hence my saying that the real Guy Fawkes was more reactionary than him.

Then, again, it doesn't bother to understand its own history. Nor does Anonymous for the same reason.

I do agree with this. I had the same problem with having Tom Cruise in Valkyrie. I mean wtf? It doesn't help that it was originally a "graphic novel" in the style of 300 either, which I also hated. Spartans with slight Scottish accents...yeahno.

Now Dan, have you ever spoken with an ancient Spartan? You can't tell me that the ancient Spartans wouldn't have spoken modern English with a Scottish accent unless you've ever spoken with one :|

    That would be an Athenian.

The Spartans were more well known for it.
