It is the American glider Cornelius XFG-1. It was intended to act as a giant drop tank for fuel for the towing aircraft, 2 were built.

It is questionable whether they were real or not, some people think they were real. They probably belong in the same category as Bigfoot and Loch Ness Monster. I forgot to delete the link when I uploaded the picture. It was all I could think of at the time.

Well, we don't have any photos of foo fighters, but we do of Nazi flying saucers, even if they are most probably photo shoppped. Also, we don't even know what foo fighters were, they might not have even been a craft, but just a phenomenon like ball lighting. Nazi flying saucers, if real, would be at least some kind of craft. I should have picked something else, something more real, next time I will.
