    Thanks.

Cause tomorrow is a brand-new day
And tomorrow you'll be on your way
Don't give a damn about what other people say
Because tomorrow is a brand-new day

    Dornier Do-335 A.

One of fastest piston engine fighters ever to be produced. But, as with many other German projects, too little, too late to change the course of war.

I think that only thing that this has in common with Meteor is the number of wings.

It is the DORNIER DO 29.
I had a hard time finding this as in the photo it looks like a turbo prop but in reality it is piston powered.

That is correct. Experimental aircraft using tilting propellers for STOL, Do 29 worked quite well, achieving stall speed as low as 24 km/h, but was not developed further.

    Your turn.

That bugger took quite a while to find.

Douglas F5D Skylancer modified by NASA to test the ogival delta wing configuration, eventually influencing the Concorde design.

    Come on!
It only took you about four hours.

    That is correct.
It was intended to be an improvement on the Douglas F4D Skyray but the "verdict" -after all the testing- named it "unneeded".

When it comes to aircraft, I can usually get it within few minutes at most. This one took longer because of the modified wings that led me a bit astray at first, since most F5D didn't have ogival delta that's quite clearly visible on the shot.

Anyway, I got something mighty ugly for you today...

It's the Payen PA-22, French made, confiscated by the Nazis and bombed by the Americans.

And also one of ugliest planes ever to fly. It's a miracle that Payen managed to convince Luftwaffe to allow him to continue testing the plane during WWII.

It's too soon since I gave you rep last time, but it's your turn.

If I got all the rep I was owed I had significantly more rep lol. We shouldn't let that get between keeping the game running.
