I hope the man in the picture will forgive me for going overboard with effects on his face.

And to be honest, I'm not sure if the picture is original weapon or a mock-up. But nevertheless it's a distinctive, though obscure weapon, and should be easy to identify.

    Looks to be an AKM

AKM is a distant relative, but that is pretty obvious.

Am I looking at a AK-74? Curvature in the mag looks to few to be an AK47

Come on, not this creeping around, trying vague guesses. AK-74 is not the right answer, and I won't tell you if it's close or not.

It's not that. Stop fishing and go looking. It's possible to find. Hint, look at the second barrel. It's integral, not attachment.

    Begging for a hint....fine. AK-74 was closest.

That's for you to find out.

It's been nearly two weeks without activity. C'mon...

Hint, it doesn't have an AK-something designation. The second barrel fires rather unique round which was, AFAIK, used by only one other weapon and was discontinued due to limited effectivity.

I've literally went over every Kalashnikov-Family weapon and licensed produced copy and nowhere! I found that second barrel so it's not due to lack of effort. Looking at the color coating one of my last guesses is that it's either an MPi-AK74N(East German production license or a Type 88s, a licensed copy made by North Korea. With a second barrel mod then ofc.. but I literally cant find it on either models so it's probably wrong.

You did not dig deep enough. I'm curious though, you write you found that second barel, but it did not have separate designation as it was integral, only the entire weapon had project designation. Maybe you found it, just don't realize it.

I meant to say, I didn't find that barrel on any of the versions I took a look at. Sorry, must not have been paying attention(Further proof a man can't multi task )
I know it's not an AO-63 because that was a double barreled weapon, closely resembling the AK Rifles but it's an entirely different second barrel compared to the picture.

The German StG 44 had a curved magazine and served as a model.fornthe AK 47. But it doesn't look like a StG44.

It looks somewhat like a Type 56, but that I.regard as just a Chinese AK 47, and it was said not to be a AK 47

Finally. This weapon has indeed only project number 80.002. It's an AK-74 with integrated 12.7mm miniature grenade launcher. Both systems share reciever, trigger and some other parts of firing system, so it's essentially a new weapon. The weapon was, not surprisingly, not accepted into service.

Sweet It did take a while to find, but a search for AK combination guns eventually found it.

Apologies, it's been many years since I last did this, but I'll try my best.

Some minor graphics edits just to stop a reverse search, but the rifle isn't obscured at all. Not sure how difficult it would be to guess, I just picked something obscure at random. If it is pretty hard to get then I'll post a clue or two.
