Okay. I admit, I laughed. But I wonder, how do you come up with guesses that are so obviously wrong?

Try spending 10 secs to check your guess with google. It'll help you a lot.

Polikarpov I-153V with the " definitive Schyerbakov "minimum leak" pressure cabin"?

Correct. You can also find it under designation I-153GK, it's a prototype of high altitude variant with pressurized cabin. A small production run of 26 units was later made under designation I-153V-TKGK.

Time to hunt for rep again...

Thanks mate. First instinct was Brewster Buffalo and spent about 10mins on that before it occurred to me I was looking at a monoplane. Doh! will post a bit later - at the moment I have no toolbar options.

This is probably easy, but it's my favourite plane and I've been meaning to post for a while now:

    Finally used Google, eh?

Yes, it's Bugatti 100. Quite distinctive plane, though the original never flew, and modern replica crashed after few flights. I wasn't even grabbing this one, as I don't have anything interesting ready to post.

Correct, the Bugatti model 100 - built in 1939. I like it mainly for it's looks. As Sar1n pointed out the modern replica crashed - twice! It over ran the runway on landing in it's first flight and the nosed dived into a field on it's 3rd and supposedly final flight, killing the pilot.

I'd say most of the regulars know this one, someone new should have a go - I'm aware we get lots of views of this thread, step out of the lurk and join in.

    1. I know, so what - there was no activity on the post. Please don't spank me! (this happens all the time when there is a clique of regulars active in a thread who are familiar with each other, like the Guess the movie thread for example) - I knew I was right, all the usual suspects knew I was right - it's really no big deal and the gun has been posted here before.

    2. It's not Jagdpanzer's turn, he was offering a prompt, not answering - I answered the post correctly so it's my turn. *Image at #5355*

    3. Not a specified rule, but a rule accepted by common use and practice - so; Yes.

** "Once again ...."??? I think you may have me confused with somebody else.

No issues man .My tone wasn't really of spanking or angry or questioning .

I was genuinely asking .You may take your turn .

My guess is an improvised mine made of wood, but I cannot find a match.

It is a mine, WW2, but not improvised - manufactured. It was cheap, practical, effective and seriously needed - and, possibly not too clear from the image, not small.
