Artillery brings dignity to what would otherwise be a vulgar brawl!

Could it be a Messerschmidt Bf 110? That plane had a twin engine and a twin tail like the one in the picture, although the cockpit looks a litte different.

If I ever put Bf 110 here, it'll be some absolutely obscure variant that nobody heard about since WWII. Try looking elsewhere.

Agreed. Despite its unusual configuration, only partially visible on this photo, and production models being overgunned for the time, this ugly hunchback displayed excellent performance, beating the plane it was intended to succeed by 100 km/h top speed, but other factors prevented it from being mass produced.

I believe it is the French design SNCASE SE.100, only one was built.

    Finally.

SE.100 was an unusual heavy fighter, with stubby fuselage and landing gear with one nosewheel and two tailwheels retracting into the tail. But it showed excellent performance and was intended to go into full production with armament of nine 20mm cannons-6 fixed in nose, 2 in dorsal gunner position and one ventral gun, controlled by same gunner. However, the fall of France prevented this plane from being produced.
