Finally. Mannlicher M1885, one of first, if not first, semi-automatic firearms that made it into prototype phase. It never worked reliably though, due to problems with black powder.
Can't rep you yet, but your turn.

Didn't that infamous specimen have a telescopic sight? Unfortunately for you, I recognized this one right away....
Carcano Model 91/38 infantry rifle?
That weapon, which didn't shot Kennedy?^^
Cause tomorrow is a brand-new day
And tomorrow you'll be on your way
Don't give a damn about what other people say
Because tomorrow is a brand-new day
Well I guess both of you got it, yes this is the Carcano 91/38 rifle, which opportunely modified with a (Japanese I believe) scope was used to kill Kennedy, or so they said...
I repped both of you, and the faster one takes the turn

Damn, I never named the weapon for the same reason. Oh well, I'll dig up something....
Edit: here we go. This should be easy, while I expect that most of you might not recognize it right away, the distinctive features of the design should give you a very good idea about where to start...

so, that's a battleship, we all agree.. I'm not a big expert on ships, but that should be from the first half of 20th century; interesting the use of all those flags, but so far I can't be sure at all of which specific ship it is
maybe a hint about the nationality will help

Your hint is: it is not a battleship.
Admiral Belgrano?
AS it looks more like a light cruiser...

Nope. Light cruiser is closer than battleship though...
Don't just throw ideas without checking. This isn't a well-known ship. But it has distinctive feature that should lead you there within a minute on Wikipedia once you figure it out.
Nobody yet? Oh come on...look at the armament and think a bit why it looks like that. Then it'll be easy.

Damn....should I just call it now or wait a few more days? Because any more hints and it'll become trivial...which it is once you figure out the purpose of the armament of this cruiser.....
wait wait, let's see if someone else can get it

Not asking for a hint but should what looks like single gun turrets be the decisive clue? Don't see much AA so WW1 era or inter war?

A flak cruiser / anti-aircraft cruiser because a lot of light guns?
