Correct. The Soviet Union first space station, before Mir. . They tried to launch other Solyut space stations but failed.

Salyut series were actually quite successful, 7 being the last one. They were designed to be short lived and discarded. Point of interest, Salyut 3 was the only (known) satellite to be armed and successfully fire the weapon in space.

    Anyway, today's guess:

    Anyway, today's guess:

I think it was the prototype sea plane FU that led to the Gotta GI bomber in WW1.

There was also one seaplane version UWD of the Gotta G I. that is could be also

Lol I asked for a hint, not for the solution. Anyways, have one rep as a token of appreciation

Also, anyone willing to take the turn? Rep will be given for the kindness

If nobody is willing, here's something to get this started again.

What happened? I posted my answer on the 2nd. I checked back on the 3rd and there was no response, so I come back this evening to see that I got a rep but I wasn't given the chance to post a new question. As Joe Biden always whines: Aw, come on, man!

    ehm.. lol

People do not get the rep for not having anyone guessing their stuff correctly, but for guessing themselves correctly other people's stuff. If you didn't get any rep for your last guess in 6264, then I've repped you in any case.

However, the turn has moved on, so... as we say in the business, the game must go on

    am an idiot

I mixed up CommonSoldier and Forward Observer, my deepest apologies..

However, the turn has gone now, the game still have to go on

OK. Looking at your previous post after I posted the answer I did think it worded oddly and I understand what happened. It's shame, since I had something real pretty to post

Aye, show must go on. Best way would be if you'd guess this one correctly so you can take your turn.

@Flinn aren't you forgetting something you promised?

Correct. Electric car made by Detroit Electric Car company. In the early 20th century electric cars were popular, but limited range eventually killed them off.

I am glad you guys didn't have to wait for me, I was busy last few days. Did any one reo you? If so, let me know and I will reo you.

It looks to be a hydrofoil, perhaps to set a water speed record? A hint would be helpful.

After posting this, I had a bit of deja vu, maybe I posted it once already.

Anyway. The hydrofoil was used in the design due to need for high speed, yes, but for a different purpose...

It looks like the Beriev Be-1, an experimental ground effect vehicle from the 1950's.

If I am right, someone else can take my turn
