Multiplayer issues

Whenever I play Rome: Total War I run into issues whenever I host a game. Every time I am in the game lobby waiting for the players to come in, I have trouble reading chat. I find myself talking and no one can read me and I can't read anyone else. After that happens I can't have anyone join my game.

My PC is well working and can run rome total war.
My internet is fine.
I am patched to 1.5
I can play the game normally.

What is the matter?

Is anyone there? I've been waiting about 2 days for an answer and no one has replied. Is it that no one here knows the solution or that no one is choosing to post on this thread. *Sigh*
