Sitting within a small disused temple for now, the personal cult of Mercury had resumed its prevalence. Headed by the new Quaestor, Spurius Cilo, senators were invited to join, and to contribute to the costs of creating a temple specific to the divine messenger.

Marcus Aurelius Dolabella Claudus, together with his son Aulus, hoping that his trading company walks again, went to the Temple to Mercury to do the first donation. The elder senator greets the priest and donates 1,000 denarii

"This is all my family have" Says Claudus.
