ETW and NTW campaign map issue

Hi,

Same problem with both games above, just wondering if there is a solution?

Problem is that the game runs smoothly on battles with reletively few problems, but campaign map on both game is stuttering and lagging something chronic. All graphics drivers and cpu drivers etc upto date. Game upto date. Game data varified - no issues found. No game fragmentation Registry has been defragmented and registry errors fixed (not many to start with) All windows updates available have been acquired.

System is E8400 Core 2 duo 3.00ghz DC
4GB Ram
ATI 4870 (1 gb ram)
Windows 7 64 bit.

Any suggestions to resolve this issue? BTW, decreasing graphics settings does nothing to resolve the issue, have tried all kinds of graphics combinations = same result.

Any suggestions please?

Post your dxdiag. You have a thread in Shogun2 so this maybe the best way to resolve all three.

I have the same configuration as you (just a 4850 instead of 4870) and had the same problem.
The only solution I found is installing catalyst 10.5 drivers. Stutter on the map of both games is greatly reduced.
It doesn't bother me too much as I don't play very recent games, but there is a utility (don't remember the name) that allows you to have multiple driver version on your computer if you don't want to get rid of the latest catalyst version.

I just searched and it's called RadeonPro, never tried it I don't know if it's reliable...
