(Department Event) Troll on the Loose
When trolls venture too close to muggle communities, the ministry commonly apprehends them and transports them to more rural areas, where they are out of the way. Sometimes the trolls are brought to the ministry itself for registration before being released in the mountains. Petrified or stunned trolls usually cause no fuss, but when the spells wear off...things get interesting fast. It would appear that a troll has escaped ministry custody, and is now wandering the halls.

As Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, this fell onto Viktor's lap of responsibility. He orders personnel to get back to their offices and leads some of his members to search for the troll. He contacts the MLE for back up.

Viktor walks out into the main area where the Floo entries are. He notices members of the MLE and Gellert arrive. He waves to them.
Stay back! We are trying to lure the troll into this open area...gives us a better area to fight and less damage to the interior of the Ministry.

Gellert nodded, he had started to like this Sverre.
"Good thinking, I will set up the men to be ready to hit it with everything we got as soon as it comes out."

Viktor whistles to signal the men. Large thumps were being heard as a few of the wizards came rushing out from an area. These members fired minor spells and jeered at the troll to lure it closer to the area.

Re: (Department Event) Troll on the Loose
This troll was particularly huge...it was rather fat and stood at least sixteen feet high. It crashed around in the corridors knocking a good amount of furniture to smithereens before continuing to the Ministry foyer. It approached the fountain, preparing to stoop down to drink, but before doing so it leaned on the statue, breaking off a large portion of it

William was among the men who were with Viktor, this was going to be interesting seeing that it was his first creature encounter during his job.

Viktor then points his wand at the troll.
I am not good with Charms...but anyone who is, use Carpe Retractum on it. We need it restrained! Do it now!

Re: (Department Event) Troll on the Loose
The troll stepped on the retaining wall, and soon the water from the base of the fountain washed across the floor. The pool was nearly drained in a matter of seconds placing a thin layer of water over the ministry's tiled floor.

Gellert aimed at the water all over the floor and cast a Freezing Charm hoping that it would freeze and the clumsy troll would trip.

"I'm reasonable at charms" William said as he pointed his wand at the troll. "Carpe Retractum!"

ooc: lol, interesting.
Gellert's freezing charm rendered the ground...rather frozen. It didn't take the large stupid troll to start stumbling. Unfortunately for William, his charm was also successful, and a rope shot out and attached itself to the troll quite firmly. It was just at this moment, however, the troll fell. The force of the fall pulled William onto the ice himself, drawing him ever nearer to the troll, who was now in a rage and thrashing about madly.

Re: (Department Event) Troll on the Loose
Gellert swore under his breath, he had hoped that the troll would be immobilized by the spell and he had certainly not expected another wizard flying out onto the ice. He directed a trip hex at the troll hoping that he could trip the troll further and let William escape.

Re: (Department Event) Troll on the Loose
Both of the spells hit the troll squarely as William was dragged closer into the danger zone. The troll had quite lost control of its own movements, but that could be just as deadly to any standing too close.

ooc: I will wait for him to respond before continuing, since he could simply stop the spell or drop his wand if he wanted

Gellert aimed at William and shouted "Stupefy" at the troll hoping to stun it long enough for William to escape.

Re: (Department Event) Troll on the Loose
William stopped the spell causing the magical rope to disappear. He was now sliding on the ice, with a troll. William aimed his wand towards the Troll as they were sliding "Aguamenti!", he hoped the jet of water coming out of his wand would propel him away from the troll over the ice.
