I've seen a few Steam users complain that the date on the left side of the UI is missing when they play SS. I've figured out how to fix that.

Open Steam, click add non steam game, click browse, go to your steam M2TW mods Stainless Steel folder, select the launcher. Done. Launch Stainless Steel from Steam and it will work perfectly. Also you won't have trouble with the launcher staying open after you close the game either!
