Why don't people play classic battles?

Hi

I have been unable to find people for classic battles and I was wondering why no one is playing classics? They seem superior in every way.

I don't like playing those new battles because my artillery is destroyed by enemy artillery before I can move them into range and the enemy line infantry has longer range than my rifle men.

People dont play classic because it doesnt give XP, vets and cannot be played ranked. Also avatar keeps getting patched and classic does not receive all these patches. This makes classic very confusing. Naginata monks got nerfed in avatar for instance, but not on classic. Bulletproof samurai on classic are not the same as bulletproofs on avatar. Etc etc.

And the reason your artillery gets destroyed before you are in range because when using 1st person mode you have unlimited range.

The reason why avatar receive all those patches are because they are so much imbalance due to all the token/veterans/retainer system. It will remain imbalance as long as those system exist. The reason classic doesn't give avatar XP or vets because there no need for such a ridiculous sytem lol

It confusing because you hardly play it m8. If you play classic many times, classic mode is a lot more stable and less confusing than avatar mode. They don't receive many random heavy nerf/buff by CA making a mess with their games. Include amongs them are all these ridiculous units restrictions which I rather community set rules by themselves.

More people is doing avatar perhaps because they like to be ranked, regardless of how bad the ranking system is; along with the rank games is fast food MM which you can find opponents very easy regardless of what you do in your TW career

It might have been too late for classic mode as it have not been receiving support from CA for so long as they try to kill it off and force feed us their avatar mode. Common, how hard is it to fix a filter? It cost them 1 year.

I do get random people joining open classic games sometimes. However, most of the time classic games are still arranged.

Yes Shiki it was very enjoyable last night...only classic is fun actually if CA give better support i will not even play avatar...no teh Armys just plain micro skill...

Absolutely. Classic is TW at its best. Too bad it is overlooked by CA at the moment. One can only hope that it gets more attention with a new installment of TW which is based on more and diversified factions.

If I want to play a friend who is lower or higher ranked we will do a classic battle.

CA should implement the possibility to play 40 vs 40 classic battles as in SP in the future, as they promised

so c b will become more enjoyble but now they are useless

I disagree. I play classic often and it's not balanced. Yes, you can say that it's stable because it doesn't get all these crazy patch changes.

I wish classic would get some much needed fixes, too.
