Problem with directx 11?

Hey guys, i have been playing shogun 2 for a while on my laptop. However I am trying to use a newer computer of windows 7 and as I downloaded Shogun 2 from steam and when I tried to play it wouldn't work, the screen goes blank. Can it be a problem with directx 11, cause i downloaded from microsoft.com? please help...

the directx 11 bug is because your graphic card isnt compatible with the dx11

Still really tells me nothing. Have you read the link I posted?

1. Click Start.
2. In hte box above it, type dxdiag, <enter>.
3. On the bottom of the dxdiag box, click Run 64bit.
4. On the bottom of the same box click Save all info.
5. Now either attatch or copy/paste every line in this file. Yeah, it's big.

1. Try updating the motherboard drivers at www.hp.com.
2. Try updating the graphics drivers at www.nvidia.com.
3. Try updating the High Definition Audio codecs at www.realtek.com.tw as your version is known to conflict.
4. Run Windows Update manually and install all software options.

If you have Chrome installed, uninstall it. It conflicts with the game's sandbox.
