Why Don't They?

Why don't my allies use my railway system? They insist on walking the whole length of Japan only to turn around and go back home when about 3/4 of the way to their original goal. Is it setting related? I've done one Tosa campaign on Hard/Hard (was some what short as I got my butt handed to me) and two Normal/Hard Tosa & Choshu campaigns and I've not seen the AI use the railways at all in these campaigns. Anyone else seeing them use them?

I've seen my Obama allies use railways.

What's more annoying is stations that are in allied territory, yet they never bother bother to build stations -_-

Ah thanks! Good to hear but I'm surprised that I haven't seen anyone use them yet in my campaigns. Makes my allies pretty much useless as they spend most of their time traveling to the front but don't arrive in time to be of help...

Yes, that's pretty annoying too.

What's really odd is my allies (The Tsu) keep using my railroads, but all they're doing is going way deep into my territory, then coming back to their home province, then going into my territory again, then going back to their home province, etc.

lol that reminds me of the AI bug in ETW where AI Ottoman would take forever because of the land bridge where Constantinople confused it and AI would ponder whether to cross it or go around it.

Exactly! One of my allies does the same thing. I thought that they had a target province in mind and started to walk there but I ended up capturing it and then they would turn around. I then assumed that they picked another target and then rise and repeat. Definitely could use a bit of tweaking IMHO.
