thanks for the end time and 93 provinces thats a lot....

so the mod ends at ::::

The Greek Dark Ages (ca. 1200 BC–800 BC) refers to the period of Greek prehistory from the presumed Dorian invasion and end of the Mycenaean civilization in the 11th century BC to the rise of the first Greek city-states in the 9th century BC and the epics of Homer and earliest writings in alphabetic Greek in the 8th century BC.

There are slightly older separate threads which cover the factions, their symbols, the units up clode in renders, the heros etc.

The mod end date will be a similar number of turns like in vanilla RTW. I have not calculatted an exact time, but we wont rush anyone.

will the victory conditions for factions be different?

    what are they?

We are still deciding the victory conditions. They will take the form -> conquer your 3 major rivals capitals + 50 provinces.

sound good. you could also have something like (eg) Mycenae: conquer 50 provinces including troy + destroy your 3 main rivals.

For mycenae their main rival would be troy

yes but you could also have conditions where each faction must also conquer certain cities.

when conquering other factions or bribing [if you have enough money] will you gain there special unit or main fighting unit....or will they just be yours in all provinces...

The plan on bribery and elite unit training is that bribery is out of the picture and any "Greek" faction can recruit any other "Greek" elite unit at the orginial factions capital. So if you play Sparta, you can recruit the Myrmidon in Phthia only. So far Asia Minor and barbarian factions will not have this AOR. This is all subject to change, btw.

so if troy conqured phthia they wouldnt or would be able to recruit myrmidons??

  16. #36

    Default Re: Q&A

Troy would not be able to recruit myrmidons because they are not a greek faction.

does troy get any units for conquering other factions?

ATM, no. We have decided only to use this system for the greeks so that a wise option for the greeks will be to conquer some neighbours and use their units in a war against troy. It will give a partial appearance of an allied greek army.
