Help with computers

After reading some posts in this part of the forum it looks like quite a few of you are very knowledgeable with computers and their components. I was wondering if any of you could point me towards a website that teaches about mostly everything you would want to know about computers. Books are fine too. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

For what end goal? You want to buy one or would you like to build your own? I'd advise option two... I basically searched through the toms hardware forum for good info, priced items on newegg, found insightful video guides on youtube and constructed my pc in 2 weeks with no previous experience. Had it about a year now and still runs like a charm.

I would be building my own. Thank you, I will look into those two sites, and scour youtube for something useful.

Forgot to add that the end goal would be for gaming.
