The Ministries Combat Exercises.

Due to the recent surge in Death-eater activity and the more pressing importance put on the targetting and dealing with this threat by the new Minister for Magic; there were new initiatives put in place to train all Ministry staff to an acceptable standard in which they can contribute to the cause and defend the Ministry if it comes down to it in times of dire need. Oliver himself was present in the main assembly point; scratching his nose rather softly as he awaited more members of the ministry to turn up; it was compulsory for all.

Frederick arrives at the training site, looking around to find the Minister.

Frederick arrives at the training site, looking around to find the Minister.

They all sighted by the Minister's aides and quickly brought to him, where he grins as he sees them make their way towards him.

"Ah; Gentlemen. I'm sure you wondering what this is all about...."

He paused;

"Well with the increasing threat of Death-eaters it's wise to ensure we at the Minister do not slacken in our skills to combat this threat and if it comes down to it every last man and woman may be required to do their part and fight if the Ministry ever came under grave danger of falling. Hence we shall be organizing some mock battles today to try and sharpen our skills and perhaps help those who may need some guidance or combat pointers. However there are some strict guidelines; the mock battles will only be within the Ministry grounds that have been restricted and emptied for this purpose and no lethal or very damaging spells may be used, once a wizard is disarmed they are out."

He then began to smirk,

"So, who's up for joining me for the first fight?"

Gellert chuckled.

"I would like to test your prowess minister, it is after all you and me who will lead this fight from the front, be warned though I am quite skilled Sir."

[Roxas]

Oliver nodded in agreement;

"That sounds reasonable; we shall split into two teams. Myself, Mr. Cromwell and my (NPC) undersecretary Miss. Knowles will go up against the other three of you who will be led by Gellert; so make haste and get to the opposite corners of this courtyard so we may begin and discuss plans etc."

OOC: Me; Major and NPC vs Molon, Clagius and Lucius.

Edward takes up his place, sliding out his wand and throwing the cane to the side..

William arrived, he was late. It appeared that there were going to be a few mock duels.

Godfrey arrived singing apologies about to much paperwork to be done.

William is placed on Oliver's team; with Godfrey joining Gellert's side. When the required members had gathered at their respective ends of the courtyards, they were given a few minutes to discuss any plans or tactics they may wish to use.

William stands next to Oliver and his other teammates. He noticed Viktor on the other team, this was going to be interesting. He took at his wand and prepared for the duels. "Not sure how you guys are planning to win this but curses aren't my strong side."

Gellert chuckled when he looked at the competition, he doubted that any of those men had his prowess.

OOC: Just presume we all start on opposing sides of one of the many Ministry courtyards together at the moment. You can move about as the battle progresses. And Can a Mod deal with this. :3

They had all been given enough time to prepare and the duel was brought to a start by one of the various Ministry aides; Oliver was the first of his side to send cast a spell as he aimed this particular spell at the wall behind them, smirking as he casted it and hoping to gain the initiative.

"Expulso!"

Edward aims his wand at Viktor, and with a flourish casts,

"Tarantellego!"

Viktor whips out his wand and aims it at Miss. Knowles, then flicks it.
