How do you convert other nations to join your specific cause? for example, if i am imperial, how do i convert other clans to join the imperial cause? be specific.

    Thanks,

It's a total piece of cake. I'll use a real world example.

Let's say I'm playing Tsu (Imperial, located in the Hattori province, Iga) and I want Yodo (Shogunate, located in Ashikaga's old province, Kyoto) to become an Imperial faction. All I have to do, is recruit Ishin Shishi and deploy them in Kyoto and convert the province to mostly (if not, then 100%) Imperial supporter. If it maintains 100% Imperial support for a couple of turns, Yodo will join the Imperial cause. This is assuming that Yodo only has the 1 province. BUT it can get more complicated.

Let's say I'm playing Tosa (Old Chosokabe clan, Imperial) and Choshu (Old Mori clan, Imperial) decides to join the Shogunate cause. I can bring him back to the Imperial cause the same as above, convert most of his provinces to Imperial support. But there's one extra step. You must kill the Daimyo that converted. A Daimyo can only convert his allegiance once in his lifetime, so if you want a clan to change back, you have to get them a new Daimyo. Considering you'll have lots of Ishin Shishi roaming his territory, I recommend just using one of them to assassinate the Daimyo.

Good tip, I didn't know the detail of the Daimyo only being able to convert once.

It's a holdover from Shogun 2's religions, as allegiance occupies the exact same position and functions identically.

Probably because people of the same allegiance are much less inclined to attack you in FotS. In RotS all allegiance determined was how long your garrison would be stuck in a city.

Im going to bump this thread because I have a question.

Is it possible to force clans to convert after Realm Divide?

Everytime I liberate a province and it turns out the clan is Imperial, I find it incredibly frustrating. Because no matter how many Daimyo I kill, they never convert.
