The title basically sums it up, but more specifically, let me say that I'd prefer songs that aren't too long or too difficult. Nerdy, game related, or meme related songs are welcome.

a song that is short, easy, and has a nice beat? i would go with "Hit the Road Jack" by Ray Charles. can´t be to hard, i think it has just a few chords. why don´t give it a try?

But if you want a good song to play, "Still Alive" from Portal is sure to get the nerds happy

I remember one of the first pieces I played was Mussorgsky's "Promenade" from Pictures at an Exhibition. I was
ing crazy. Took me a month, but I got it in the end. It was probably a bad decision to start off with such a difficult piece.
I'd suggest learning how to play the basic 12 bar blues and maybe the II-V-I. You'd essentialy be learning thousands of songs at the same time. Infinitely useful if you ever end up jamming with someone else. -

I play the piano and this is a piece of cake.
Nursery rhymes are a good place to start since they are normally short and simple. First just learn the melody and then learn the accompaniment. -

I would imagine this would take some time to get all the parts but none sound that difficult.
Divenire and Fuori dal Mondo are two other pieces by Einaudi that I find most exhilarating, you'll probably recognise them from films/tv, his works get used a lot..Last edited by Halie Satanus; April 14, 2012 at 08:44 PM.
