    Default Taking or losing Akragas

Hi, what happen for the Romans if Carthago take and remain in Akragas ? Does it mean that the marian reforms never happen for the Romans ? Is it the way for Carthago to have a hope to win the game at long term ?

The Reforms can only occur due to the Romans building a huge city in Akragas so yes, they won't get the reforms.

    Wrong.

That's only for the Rome Campaign. In all others the Romans get the reforms by building an imperial palace in any of like a dozen of settlements all over the map, most of them other nation's capitals.

    yep

    yep
I am not sure, but I think DVK said that they have to build one in Arretium or Croton.

    yep
    Correct

Edit: Not an imperial palace per sé, just when they hit 24000 people somewhere. So taking akragas will NOT prevent them from reforming their army.

    Pretty much.

Assemble all available forces and take it back. Unless of course you are Carthage, in which case, good going.

Well, it's not a good new. I play 2 time with Carthago, the fist with RS 2.0 et shortly after installed RS 2.5, and especially for my first campaign, I lose after a long time of play because my army was underpowered vs roman troops. It takes a long time before losing, because I remember I retreat all Hannibal's army from Northern Italy to concentrate my efforts upon Sicily and Sardinia. But at the end, I lose in Spain vs the legions from Emporion and south of Gaul. At this time I play Roman faction and I just discover how to launch Marrian reforms and how to recruit legion in other tow than Rome :-()

Emporion is very weak at the start of the game. Move some troops up there and wipe them out within the first 5 turns.
