1st Person is incorrectly labelled, Ca, it is 3rd person. You should change it.

CA, your camera view that you call 1st person is not 1st person it is 3rd person. This is because you don`t actually control things or see through the eyes of the person controlling the gun. It is actually a view where you control the whole ship or gun from a sort of out-of-body view.

The view you call the `Contextural view` (a strange label) is actually the real 1st person view, even though you can`t control anything by it. You need to change around (label context view 1st person view instead) because it can be quite misleading and annoying to see you have it back to front. It`s like hearing someone constantly saying `Versa Vice ` instead of `Vice Versa`.

You guys must be the only ones in the whole PC gaming world who don`t know your 3rd person from your 1st person. Come on, change it guys, you`re British you know better.

Of course, if you could make it truly 1st person then that would`ve been excellent.

I know. It`s not that important, but it`s like a silly typo that just needs a quick edit. And it can be somewhat annoying seeing it constantly called `1st person` when everyone and their granny knows it`s `3rd person`.

Also, CA have always been good with their spelling and grammar compared to most Dev houses, it`s just a shame that they get this wrong.

But sure, `meh`. Be sad though if it`s still there in a year`s time.

Perhaps you should get a screenshot of this, because all the facts point to the opposite of what you're saying? I've only ever seen it called third-person, and to be honest, there can't be too much confusion on whether it's third or first person when you're using the feature itself.

Why would I make it up? I know you`re trying to be smart and I grant you one on the advert you posted, but I don`t follow adverts, I go by what`s actually IN the game.

Go and run the game and see for yourself. I see no reason why I should make a screenshot for you.

I just think that this issue can wait, especially compared to larger issues and the such.

You are god and you see through god's eyes in the first person no matter if you hover above your beloved subjects issuing commands or zoom in above your subjects shoulders to bring fire and brimstone to the enemy through the grace of artillery. Heck you even follow the cannon ball to observe your wrath being carried out.

Further proof that you are god: Why else would your Daimyo when being given a command be it on the battle map or campaign map say "Yes my lord!" When he is in fact lord of his province and should be humble to no one? Clearly you are his god.

I remember before the game was released there was a developer diary speaking about the new "third person mode" in FotS, but on the screen you could clearly see that in game it was referenced as "first person mode." I always thought that was a funny mistake. It's like they decided to relabel it verbally, but were too late to change it in the game.

Really, it's third person mode when you are using it with ships. It's sort of a "first cannonball mode" when you use it when cannons... as you stick with the cannonball, not with the person who fired it. It's a "first torpedo mode" when you use it from a torpedo ship, as again, you are basically seeing what the torpedo sees. So overall, it's rather an "all over the place mode" more than any of the other descriptions used.

Whether it's 1st person or 3rd, the most important thing is to be wearing the right hat. The right hat not only improves accuracy, it means that both the player and the character he controls will "be stylin". I always play in the nude wearing a pickelhaube, which gives me +4 accuracy

hehe I guess mentioning a typo deserves 2 pages of a thread? Im foreseeing this going to 15 pages of posts until CraigTW responds (while CA being accused of not caring/laziness/whatever).

I guess the point is putting it to attention, it is a simple fix...BUT WAIT!!! WE WANT THE TYPO AS AN OPTION!!! Some of us bought FotS because we saw the typo in the gameplay trailers, it was advertised all the time and if you remove it now I want a refund etc. etc.
