Armenian expansionism
Is it just me or does Armenia expand like crazy and become a mega-faction pretty quickly? I guess it's pretty natural since they are:
- surrounded by rebel territories on 3 sides
- good relations with Latins
- Romans and Turks will be busy fighting each other
In my campaign as the Romans, by the time i had finished off the Turks, the Armenians had conquered northern Iraq and pretty much everything else between the Caucasus and Arabia. They were about to finish off the Abbasids actually.

Re: Armenian expansionism
Every game is different. I've seen the Armenians get wiped out by the Sultanate of Rum, I've seen them go crazy and conquer Baghdad, and I've seen them just muddle about. Most of the factions are both capable of great things and capable of mediocrity. The Armenians are no different.

Re: Armenian expansionism
I think that's a different version though, in the one i'm playing 2.3.2 they start out with Antioch IIRC.

Re: Armenian expansionism
strange I don't think they start with antioch... have you modded it?
Usually the armenians get trashed by other factions, the turks take a city and then the romans eventually come through and finish them off

Re: Armenian expansionism
Armenian performance varies from game to game. More often I've seen Ayyubids, Turks, and even Georgians in Antioch.

Re: Armenian expansionism
In my ERE campaign in the last version (2.3) The Armenians expanded well into Syria.
In my Georgia campaign (in version 2.3.2) They're rapidly expanding straight at my direction, trapping the Rum sultanate between them and ERE.
