End of term feast

[Dark Storm]

As the end of term draws near, another feast is organised, to celebrate another successful year at Hogwarts. The mood however is sombre, as the death of the Year one boy still lies fresh in the memory's of Staff and Students.

As they enter the hall for the final feast and awarding of the house cup, the Students are met by black decorations out of respect for the dead.

Atticus plopped into his heat happily at the Sytherin table, anxious for the feast to begin.

Weatherby slipped in beside his Gryffindor companions, his heart heavy knowing a Hufflepuff fried would not be going home again. A small bit of him felt a strange pride that he had survived the Forest where others couldn't - but he pushed the ugly thought from his mind and instead resolved to some day meet the Giant Squid, in memory of Andrew, who never would.

Violeta and Ashley arrive at the feast, and then separate to their respective House tables.

John stunned by Andrew's death slowly took his place at the Ravenclaw table.

Cecil took his seat next to Weatherby, wearing a grim expression on his face. He had not known Andrew as well as Weatherby, and personally had expected him to take the Hufflepuff's death much worse, but the loss of a friend like Andrew had nevertheless shaken him - a reminder of his own mortality, and that things could have gone so much worse in the Forbidden Forest.

Atticus smirked and turned to Violeta

That idiot got what was coming to him. If he's so helpless then he shouldn't have wandered off in the first place. When I went into the forest I got out by using my head.

Violeta nods.

"Exactly. I heard there was one other who was stupid enough to go off like that. Probably mudbloods who have no concept of how to survive in a forest like that or to think logically to get out. Shame it wasn't the whiny mudblood..oh wait, he'd probably make the Arcomantula sick!" She smirks.

John stunned by Andrew's death slowly took his place at the Ravenclaw table.

As Sidious walks in the room, he first goes to the Ravenclaw table and puts his hand on Johns shoulder. I am truly sorry for what happened my friend and that I wasn't there... He then proceeded to his seat.

Violeta nods.

"Exactly. I heard there was one other who was stupid enough to go off like that. Probably mudbloods who have no concept of how to survive in a forest like that or to think logically to get out. Shame it wasn't the whiny mudblood..oh wait, he'd probably make the Arcomantula sick!" She smirks.

As he passed Violeta he heard what she said and wiped her whit his glare. Yes, but even more the shame that it wasn't a couple of those useless Hufflepuffs, the Arcomantula would probably go extinct after easting a few of those so it would be to mutual benefit.

Atticus smirked and turned to Violeta

Head Atticus? Sidious smiled. I think the phrase used to describe what you used is "Run legs, before I soil you.". Sidious sat across the table from them. "An interesting year non the less, any more interesting and we might not survived it."

Weatherby smiled softly when Cecil joined him. "Can't believe Andrew's really gone. It's... I don't know. Fritz asked us to go out into the Forest and I said no. I can't help but wonder what would've happened if we'd gone too. We survived a night out there. Maybe Andrew would still be alive if we'd gone."

Or maybe we'd be dead too, he thought to himself.

"I seriously doubt that." Cecil's voice was as stony as his expression. "He ran into Acromantulas, I've heard. We'd heard Professor Maldow talk about how dangerous those were just before he and that other boy wandered outta camp,too ...no, we just caught a lucky break, running into Hagrid and those centaurs instead of those damned spiders. If we'd been with him, we'd probably be spider food too."

At least I didn't end up hanging upside down in a web. Clearly we know who the better wizard is.

Oh well, I doubt we'll miss an idiotic Hufflepuff too much.

Atticus sniggered

Fritz arrives in the Great Hall, ignoring the stares of people, who have surely noticed Andrew's absence.

Weatherby nodded absently as Cecil spoke. "I just can't believe he's gone. This was supposed to be the safe year. My mum will throw a fit when she finds out - if she hasn't already. I can't ever tell her about the centaurs, or she might right up and kill me herself."

Milo Forsyth enters the Hall, looking rather surprised to see he's the first professor there. Not knowing whether to sit before the Headmaster does, the professor walks through the rows just to look busy.

Augustus walks into the hall, taking a seat at the Ravenclaw table.

+2.5 willpower to all Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors for winning the house cup
