    Default Best rapper?

Keep your "I hate rap" posts out of here please

Well...I've seen a 'best heavy metal' thread, so I thought: Why not start a 'best rapper' thread. I would like to know who you people (rap fans and not rap fans) think is the best (or the 'least crappy' ) rapper around. I am having a hard time choosing a 'best rapper' , so I'll just sleep one night and think about it that day.

Oh...I forgot just one thing...please say WHY you like that rapper (and maybe some background information) and not just a name.

I'm gonna go for Talib Kweli, although lots of names appear - Nas, 2Pac, Puff/P Daddy/Diddy, and Papoose. But TK - the guy in my avvy and sig - is the best by far, IMO.

    Here's the reason
Just to get by - Talib Kweli

Tupac Amaru was not only the best rapper, but also one of modern times greatest prophets. Damn, I still get tears in my eyes when I hear some of his songs. The man were pure good, right to the hearth! And that's quite spesial in our time...

You're going to laugh, because I realy don't listen to a lot of rap.

    Nelly!

He's from St Louis, so he's got to be cool.

I would have to say either Ludacrist, or Nelly, because i dont really like rap that much, but if i had to listen to it i would choose them over anyone esle. Also they have some good rhymes, and lyrics.

Rap sucks, but I do suppose it does take some skill to do what they do, even if it is bad...

Tupac then would win my vote for most skilled rapper.

It's a toss up between eaze-e (only on straight outta compton though) and John Barnes (only on world in motin though)

I'm going with Barnes. But that could change overnight.
