So, I reinstalled Windows XP on another PC (Which had Windows 2000, now dual boots), installation when perfect, I installed my usual software, used Advanced Systemcare to install several updates and defrag my HDD, updated my Ati Radeon 9800 Pro drivers (To something like 8.2.311), and restarted my PC, but when it turns on, it shows a desktop with a screen resolution of 800x600 and colors set to 4-Bit and on system it said I had 256MB of RAM (While I have 1.5GBs) and it did not allowed me to increase resolution or put the colors to 32-bit, so my instinct told me that it was mostly the drivers, so I rolled the Ati Drivers back to the previous which worked, it allowed me to increase the resolution back to 1024x768 and put the colors back to 32-bit, but when I click "Accept", the screen turns black and the PC restarts and the old resolution and 4-bit colors are still there and it still says 256MBs of RAM, and it looks as if I was using Windows 95 and it even uses the same shotcut pictures. Any help here? or will I have to re install Windows XP? Or if I click on repair Windows, will it work? Help me TWC guys, you are my only hope! Thank you for your help.
