    Default IGdood's Unit Packs

    Hello all,

I'm making this thread so I can put all my released units and etc. into 1 spot.

I'll make 1 .pack file per unit, because as someone once said, he didn't like the idea of having to download whole packs together.

Also watch these spaces for the other units:

    1. No-Dachi Hero

Better on the offensive compared to katana hero, weak to missiles. Requires legendary sword dojo.

    2. Heavy Gunner Hero
Might be too imba, can use Suppression Fire, Rapid Volley, Fire-by-Rank, and Hold Firm. Default range is 150, same as bows. Bullets cause knockback and can go through multiple men.

Decent at melee, western-style plate armor gives him good defense and armor ratings. Requires arsenal.

    3. Onna Bushi Heroine

Naginata cavalry with bows. Female. Requires legendary bajutsu dojo.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    4. Onna Bushi Infantry

Can be recruited in Castle level and above with a naginata dojo present.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    5. Samurai Retainer Guard

It's slightly better than the Katana Ronin unit, gives a sort of "Elite" non-hero sword unit for you guys to play with.

Recruited at castle level and higher

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    6. Master Tactician

Hero whose strength lies in abilities to support other units, not meant for direct combat.
Recruitable at fortress level and above.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    7. Naginata Ashigaru (Ikko and Oda versions included)
Recruited at all levels of forts, basically more armored (reflected in their looks) and balanced compared to their yari counterparts.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    8. Nanban Mercenaries
Recruited at Nanban Trade Port and Quarter, does not require conversion to Catholicism. Good ranged stats, worth every koku for the 150 range. However, will be demolished in melee as they have 0 armor and fight worse than ashigaru. Officer uses a katana instead of a saber.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    9. Zanbato Warrior Monks

Updated with Zanbato Monks, basically they're much more survivable versions of Nodachi samurai. Can be recruited at level 2 Buddhist Temple and above, requires level 2 sword dojo. Use giant zanbato sword instead of nodachi.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    10. No-Dachi Ashigaru - Practically no armor (can be seen in their lack of socks and shoulder armor), but has a vicious bite that can really do a number on enemies off-guard. Recruited at level 2 castle and above.

Oda, Ikko, Date, and normal versions.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    11. Loan Sword (non-ikko version) - Early game sword infantry, the Shimazu version can tackle enemy samurai and come out on top. Recruitable at all levels of forts.

    Shimazu, Oda, and Normal versions.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    12. Naginata Cavalry - Averaged the stats of katana and yari cavalry. End result is a versatile unit. Takeda version included. Recruited with combo of Naginata Dojo and level 2 Cavalry Dojo.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    13. Pike Terco - Otomo Only. Even better than long yari ashigaru. Requires Nanban Quarter to recruit.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    14. Sling Ashigaru

I recently read that there were slings used during the Sengoku Period. Slings do less damage than even the pitiful Bow Ashigaru arrows, but they can do more damage to armored units than arrows can. Their reload and accuracy is also lower to balance this out.

FOTS SECTION - Units under this section are FOTS ONLY

    1. No-Dachi Kachi - Low armor, high attack, warcry. These fierce warriors bring some much-needed brute force to a traditional army....or to a modern army needing a group of die-hard melee units.

Recruitable in level 2 traditional dojo and above.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    2. Gaijin Kachi - As er Captain Arrgh's request, after days of headache, I present the Gaijin Kachi mod. At first inspection, it looks like an oversized katana kachi unit. But then....you realize that everyone here is a gaijin with a katana. Have banzai and ganbatte, slightly better stats than katana kachi....

    Recruitable at legendary dojo.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    3. Katana Ki, the traditional counterpart of the saber cavalry. More armor, but lower attack and defense. Recruitable at dojo level 3 and above.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    4. Naginata Ki - A more balanced version of the Yari Ki. Worse at charging, better in melee, but not as good as sabre cav.

Recruitable at all levels of traditional dojos.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    5. Grenadiers - Tough line infantry, fewer in numbers. Uses firebombs in battle.

Recruitable with Level 3 Modern Barracks and level 2 Artillery production building and above.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    6. Breech-Loading Sharpshooters - Light infantry with kisho training and can hide while firing. Uses the Breech-loaders. Considered a mercenary unit of foreigners and so requires Military Academy and Tade Port together.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
