Slytherin Quidditch Try-Outs







James arrived at the Quidditch pitch early, with him a few students carrying the assorted equipment that was needed to practice Quidditch, under his arm he held his own broom and placed it near the box that held the balls. He then looked at his watch, almost eight, he noted, they should be arriving soon...

Atticus made his way to the Quidditch pitch with a school broom. He couldn't afford any of the fancy equipment so this would simply have to do. He had played handball with the muggles in the neighborhood, and this was slightly similar...he hoped he would be good enough. He was going to be trying out for Chaser. He stood in the middle of the pitch with the other Slytherin hopefuls, waiting for instructions.

Violeta walks to observe the Quidditch try outs, not really interested in playing.

Sidious came with a school broom, he hoped for the position of Seeker it was the only interesting part of that sport.

James raised an eyebrow, thirty members of his house had turned up,
"Well then, who's flown before?"
he questions them first, not bothering with greetings...

Atticus looked around to see who had raised their hand. He had only flown an old cleansweep that belonged to his dad whenever he visited relatives in Hogsmeade, but he'd done nothing formal. He raised his hand timidly, not sure if it was a good thing or not.

Emiliana arrives to the quidditch pitch, finding a spot away from the blinding sunlight, and hoping to enjoy a good - and healthy - sport exhibition which cleared her mind from the recent personal issues she had.

"Very well then,"
James spoke, disappointed that only one second year had raised his hand,
"Atticus, come here, you shall show them how it's done. Okay?"
James smiled,
"Now what type of broom have you?"

Atticus held his broom out

Well, its not very...impressive

Atticus surveyed it dismissively.

I can't afford a new one so this will have to do. Maybe if I play well enough my parents would consider it, but they would prefer I focused on my studies. They think Quidditch is a waste of time.

James smiled slightly,
"That's good, now which position are you trying for today?"
he asked the boy,
"Seeker maybe? Or keeper?"

Well professor, I think I'd make a good Chaser.

Violeta walks onto the pitch with a relatively decent looking broom that looks slightly aged, but clearly taken good care of. She waits her turn to try out, quietly humming, having decided she may as well try to play Quidditch to see what it is like, even if for a year.
