Oliver Baird
History
Oliver Baird was born in 1977 to Sheena Baird in the Eastern Suburbs of London; Oliver was the twin of the more famous James Baird, current Headmaster of Hogwarts, only known for his association with James. Whilst James was the more wise and intellectual of the two, Oliver made up for that with his determination and willpower, going to great lengths so he didn't lag too far behind. Unlike his brother, he was more wary of entering the Wizarding world and took a lot longer to adapt to the new lifestyle, rather cautious of the misery it could bring to his life. However he was determined not to let Magic ruin anyone else's life like it had done his and like his brother, he accepted the invitation to join Hogwarts in order to become strong enough to protect the ones he loved.
During his time at the Magical institute, Oliver was not the most exceptional student and was placed in the house of Ravenclaw, where he had a very plain and uneventful school life. He learnt early on that he was rather inept at many of the subjects; focusing on more combat-orientated spells and magic, the stuff he could use to fight the evils of magic. He managed to obtain average grades in most of his N.E.W.T.S; getting exceptional in Charms and Defense against the Dark Arts.
Whilst his brother left Hogwarts to go fight the dark lord; Oliver provided a safe haven for certain Death-eater targets and only fought when it was vital. However soon after the demise of the Dark Lord, he followed his brother into the Ministry, getting a rather average job in one of the lesser departments.
Personality
Oliver has a very timid and meek personality; preferring to resolve conflicts by words and always willing to help those in need. He is also very loyal to the Ministry and despises all Dark Magic; usually being very cautious when he see's it being used. Lastly; he is very amiable and sociable with those he calls friends, however it takes quite a bit of effort to earn his trust in return.
