Well one thing to note is that your archers will out range guns. If possible get Armstrong's then you can sit them back out of range from any Artillery they may use.

How many bow Kachi

I tried out bow kachi for a while, and I had some success - but in the end, bow kachi just don't kill things quick enough and, with the new time limit, it's a pretty major issue.

Now I just use Parrott guns, and then I have half my army as bears + tosas and the other half as katana kachi. I've only lost one siege in FotS so far so I must be doing something right.
