As Greeks, I find attacking to be extremely hard, especially since I only play vh/vh now...
Going against Macedonia and Romans with armies 2-3 times the size of mine and hoping to capture their cities has become nearly impossible.. As have fighting 2-3 front wars.
I have been reduced to attacking cities with 1/2 or 1/3 as many men.. and just wait them out... As soon as they try to attack me, I turtle up with a phalanx walling up all sides and just try to ride it out... its a bit cheap... and time consuming to war like this but I can't afford both Infantry and Calvary buildings... thus I have given in to fielding whole armies of Infantry....
Sure I suffer from their missile attacks, but I really can't think of anything else I can do to remedy that...
So far I have taken Roman part of Sicily... and 3 Macedonian cities... as well as Crete... and my income have risen dramatically.. from 300 to 4500 now.... So I am beginning to field larger and larger armies, but so far, I have had 1/2 as many men as the AI in most battles...
