First time in a while! Wonder what prompted this revival? Nice find, cos we might not have known otherwise, as irregular as this update was!

My eyes! Too... bright...!
Seriously, all of the units looked AMAZING up until that one...![]()

They arent too bright at all.... they are meant to be from later times in Europe, and odly enough thats how the people who could afford to dressed. I think it looks very nice, probably from the early renassiance.

They look great.
The colors are fine too.

I think, the unit looks cool, but the clothes look a bit...damaged![]()

Depends on the time period. Renassiance period German mercenaries (Landsknechts) liked the "puffed and slashed" style. They'd rip or slash an outer garment, then pull through a differently colored undergarment to create a fancy getup.Originally Posted by TB666

What matters is if they'll move in a lame phalanx spear fashion where only the tips of the spears have any physical relevance to reality
For those that can't get there:

Looks good - that's what I imagined they'd look like, adds a bit of colour, and maybe they'll splatter mud and blood over them so they won't be so clean :original:

how weird is the 'ripped tunic' thing!? still, i guess its no different from ripped jeans of today!![]()
Yeh, the ripped tunic does come across as slightly odd...but if it's what they did! At least with model variation, we'll see it ripped in different ways!

well I guess I'm wrong,I was going to say that the ripped tunic was just CA showcasing their new technology in rendering battle damage. but I guess I am wrong than, pretty cool though the if every time the unit that hit with say a swordthat a damage Ward actually show upon the unit's skin.
but I guess ripping your tunic would make a much less a concern during battle,as you don't have the care about damaging your tunic in the course of the battle because you already Did it today before.
