Default Memories about bugs in Vanilla

    HI there,

I'm posting this because I've seen a couple of threads lately regardings gubs, and stupid AI moves. I haven't been playing M2TW vanilla for 3 years now and decidede to give it a try last week-end. Wow the campaign map is calm compared to Third Age TW. I'm playing the Danes and everything is going well, my relationship with the Pope is great, my global Rep is immaculate. Now here isd what happened to me that made me remeber how the game is well very unbalanced.

My faction Heir as 8 command stars, is a night fighter, has 7 Chivalry and 8 Obedience. On turn 60 I join a Crusade called on Jerusalem with my faction Heir, we are moving towards the target. I end my turn, while the AI plays I see an Inquisitor trying to kill my Heir (like WTH) He fails, so I say that was a close one, the next trun he tried again like again WTH!!!!!, he kills my Heir , that is when I remembered that in Vanillas it hapened all the time.

This is one of the things that pissed me off the most about the Vanilla version. BTW just so you know and before members tells me patch it up well it's patched up all to the max and it stills happen

That is why I'm now playing Stainless Steel and Third Age which or awesome mods

Huh, I guess I am the only one who likes the Pope in this game.
Anyways, I 'll never forget Scotland's diplomats. I don't know if you can call it a bug, but they were left with 1 city I remember and had 5 diplomats who were boarding and then leaving a ship all the time. I remember spending 30 secs every turn watching Scottish diplomats going circles in and out of the ships.

Well I like the pope but not his inquisitors and even more because I'm the faction most in his favor. But I like the pope, I use him always while fighting the Mongols and Timurids.

I know what you mean. Inquisitors, heretics, witches, even AI assassins used to cause me so much grief in vanilla. There is a console command that solves this, something like "disable_agents" I don't remember exactly. I'm pretty sure it works for disabling inquisitors, so if you're ever in the mood again to play some vanilla, try using this console command.

Heretics still make me very angry in Stainless Steel. Always some prophet prancing around in one of my regions. I haven't played a campaign long enough to deal with inquisitors.

I hate Inquistors. I don't mind if they are on the other side of the map but if they come one foot in my land I recruit an assassin straight away.
