in the manual it says that you can give your generals a title to increase loyalty. How do I do this?

You know the retinues a family member carries? (The little pictures with descriptions that can be found within the family member's traits list) Some of them have a title, like 'Dux ______' that increases their command over special units, and others have titles like 'Splinters of the Holy Cross' that increases their loyalty if they practice the same religion as the town they inhabit. If they don't it decreases their loyalty, as well as increases the unrest.

Retinues.
Some have command bonus' (like Count of the Household Cavalry)
Some have management or loyalty or influence bonus'.
You give them retinues from other generals by having them in the same town and placing retinues from one General's profile to another.

If your General fights a lot of battles he can 'earn' a title. It just appears in his 'inventory'. I had it with one of my generals when I was playing Saxons. The title he got was something like 'Royal Cavalry Commander' (or something like that)
ah ok thanks for the quick replies![]()
wow, never knew you could alter retinues.
Further clarification. When you give retinue from one general to another, is it still with the old general-duplicated? If not, is this a way to quickly make way for the new guard- pass on valuable traits from old general about to die to young gun?

It comes with a picture as stated before. If you drop it on to another general it will not be duplicated. Also, you can assign the ancillary to a general before the game starts in the descre strat txt:character:............
