Hello guysSo, A few years back I bought an Acer Aspire M1202. Everything is stock except the current GPU, which is the Nvidia GT240 (Crappy, outdated, 1GB GDDR3, PCI slot).
Stock parts:
AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ 2.4Ghz
4GB RAM
250W PSU
Stock mATX motherboard
So, I was looking at this card:

Since I'm going to keep everything stock, even the PSU (250W), would that graphics card work in terms of compatibility and power usage? My Nvidia GT240 used like 30-50w and everything worked fine, I haven't overclocked anything. So, the GeForce GT 440 1GB DDR5 uses around 50w under load and 7w while idle. (really low).
What I'm asking is, can I pop this card right in and not have to buy anything else, because If i CANNOT then I'm not going to buy this card. Yes, I know that a new PSU would be good, but I'm NOT GOING to upgrade it as of right now.
With this current set up, I can play Shogun 2 on medium graphics, ETW & NTW on high. What kind of a boost would you expect in performance with this new card?
