What about Buffalo Soldiers? They'd fit the time period, and it would be cool to see African American soldiers in strange circumstances fighting Japanese samurai in a far off land. I think regiments of Black US cavalry 'Buffalo Soldiers' were commanded by White Officers, but don't hold me on that one, I'm not 100% sure.

@Hinkel: maybe it's a pre or post war thing? but the three pictures I used had the dark blue stripe on the pant leg. Until I fully grasp the diffuse and colour masks for shogun some things we gotta put up with! They're not the same as Napoleon and are causing me no end of trouble.

@Jackie: the African American faces may prove difficult but I can see what I can do

@miguelmm: I based their headgear off the Indian mutiny service uniform when white foreign service forage caps were used, plus they look more tropical

@bordo: main problem is we don't have the fez

    @Vennonetes : thank you

Hi General Cornwallis - really looking forward to your mod, but I was interested to know how a mod such as this would affect the drop in battle feature. I'm assuming they won/'t work unless the other player has the same mod?

    Cheers

Sorry jimmy, but I am going to assume that if the other person isn't using the pack thatit won't work

@hinkel: when I get back to my computer I will put them up for you.

@miguelmm: The royal marines already have the small shako, and considering India and Japan are both asiatic theatre I'm going to assume British forces would be wearing the tropical cap

@jamson: As soon as I figure out how to properly create a new British template I will

Is that a yes to my unit suggestion?

They looks great, but Japan isn't tropical country, plus the other british units had the helmet i showed you in the images.
I would like that they wear the hat that I showed you, because I love it.

Alright folks I am extremely happy to announce that after 12 hours of trying to figure out the proper way to save the diffuse textures using gimp and paint.net I have finally solved my hair wrenching problem. I owe a lot to Sir Digby Chicken Ceaser for allowing me the use of his Royal Marine Texture to create the base of the British Infantry uniform, so rep him big.

Without further chit chat, here is the new British Line Infantry texture, if you pay attention you shall see it is the 24th regiment of foot, colalr badge, and cap badge!

@Jamson: looks like you'll be getting your 33rd

As I've finally got the nad of this, new releases are on hold while I go back and provide more detail to the other units!

Great work! Really looking forward to this! Too bad there are no bayonets though.

Ghurka regiment? I'd really appreciate it if that was possible. The Ghurka regiments used a sort of large knife, too, so it'd not be so odd that they weren't using bayonets. Also, the Ghurkas were awesome. So awesome, in fact, that i'd like to see if they could match up with the Samurai in melee.

Yeah I thought it might, I'd suggest darkening their skin...but they would just look like they were wearing black face. =/

Its not possible to add new uniform models in the game, so I think its a bit hard to get in zouaves. Don't know if there are vanilla jackets and baggy pants, which can be used.

    @ Kreiglord

I will start a small "civil war" unit selection next week, so you will see our civil war story continued with shogun 2

    Very nice work!

It's a shame there are no fringed epaulettes model. It's a staple of the French army of the period.
