Also, if you're using Windows 7/Vista they may be located here:

    C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\tgas

One should also try out searching the forums before opening a thread about it, if he finds the answer then it saves everyone's time.

Another method, which is not shown in the link, is to use shift-Print_Screen (to capture your shole monitor or monitors) or Alt-Print_Screen (to capture the active window only). Then open MicroSoft Paint (everyone with Windows has this "Accessory").

Inside Paint, select Edit --> Paste to throw a bitmap of the captured image onto the screen. Edit and save as you wish (bitmap or JPEG). If you are posting to this forum or via a host site, a JPEG will work much better than the bitmap.

That works in other software but in M2TW, it doesn't, it just gives a black box. It's also just PrintScreen, not Shift-printscreen if you want the whole window.

For me it is function-printscreen, but whenever i use this method it works perfectly. it doesn't work well with battles or for AARs though

Hmm... That's odd: Shift-Print_Screen works great in RTW; just assumed it would be the same in M2TW. I'll have to test that out. And I believe you do need to use shift, otherwise (on any keyboard I've used) you get System_Req.

Use FRAPS. Works best. Shows your FPS too. Search FRAPS on Google. Should be able to find it (It's a software).

No, Printscreen is the default for that button not SysRq. By the way I've been using computers since they only had 256 K of memory (and no storage) and never (ever) seen a reason to use SysRq! Printscreen does work the way described in the other thread but you need something better than Paint to view the files (I use Photoshop) as they are in TAGA format.
