why barbarians can only recruit roman soldiers in large areas and recruit their barbarian units only in their starting positions??i thought they were people in the move!!!

I think you need to rephrase your question as I don't quite understand what you're trying to ask. Barbarians can recruit Roman soldiers in large areas? What do you mean?![]()

well lets take for example the Goths!!if you move and conquer spain, gaul, africa and many other regions you can only recruit gothic veterans, some noble cavalry and the roman based inf(milites and comitatensis) and cav(scutarri)!!!
I never played Barbarians in SAJ, only Romans, so I do not know the answer, but the question is interesting........
Probably depends on the historical regions/cities owned by the various group in the Real History in the correct time, or by buildings........I do not know but I'm intrigued.........![]()
He means that if yuo are a barbarian faction, and you conquer previous roman lands, then you can no longer recruit nearly all of your barbarian troops, save a few elite ones, the only other troops you can recruit are roman levies.
I too found this interesting, becuase surely these peoples would not have recruited romans on such a large and romanized scale, they would have just kept to their old tried and tested battle make up.
Im pretty sure this was fixed by JH in the latest patch though, certainly in my frankish campaign, i can recruit my frankish troops in all of the historically frankish conquered areas (france, bits of spain, italy)It is only if i was to conquer say, armenia (
) that i could not recruit any franks and must rely on locals
