Default My guide to taking Egypt with Scipii

I couldn't take actual game maps because I can't zoom out far enough to show the whole area. So I've used photoshop to map out the coarse of events up till now. I picked up this strategy from a few helpful posts on this forum so thanks to you who have contributed to my posts over the past few days. Check out the link; read through and let me know what you think.

Nice post Curtis. Must have taken a long while to put that together.

One tactic you might want to consider is building Forts. As your forces march towards strong Eqyptian stacks and are out in the open you build a fort. You forces camp there over turn end. If Egypt attacks your fort (seige) you can wait it out for reinforcements or sally. On a sally your infantry will be safe in the fort from the dred egyptian chariots who you lure to the fort wall towers with your cavalry.

I had a fort set up; which it shows on the 2nd map, it's a blue box with an F in the middle of it. That worked for a few years with me holding that fort and sending troops back to Cyrene for retraining after a battle then sending fresh troops back to the fort. This allowed me to hold off about 4 heavy assaults from the Egyptians.
