    Default URGENT HELP!!!!!!!!!

    Hey guys, so its been over a few months that ive got my hp envy 15 3012tx model laptop. Its been running fine until I encountered a problem when I started playing Shogun 2 total war fall of the samurai today. It seems that the game wont recognise my HD 7690m Graphics card and instead detects and uses the intel hd graphics card. Does anyone know how to get the game to use the 7690m? I really want to play this game at a good level.

    Radeon HD 7690M. Now, why is it running on the integrated, instaed? Contact HP support. Their drivers are proprietary and so is their idea of Catalyst Control Panel.

    Wait dont worry guys, i got it working, i went into the bios setup at the start, changed it from dynamic to fixed, now s2tw works well on medium to high, thanks guys for your help!

    lmull, I have a new HP laptop as well, and have the exact same problem. Fall of the Samurai should be recognizing my Geforce 650M but only recognizes the integrated graphics. To get this right you went in to the bios setup upon restart of your comp, and changed what from dynamic to fixed?

    Thanks, but my BIOS does not include graphics settings. I've checked with NVIDIA and HP and so far there is not a solution. My GPU monitor says that TW is using the card, but it does not recognize it for the purpose of the options at least. That means that the game caps me at "high" settings, and does not let me use the ultra settings. So, the game is not fully compatible with my HP Dv7t.

    Could be as HP is notorious for only allowing you to use their proprietary graphics drivers.

    It would surprise me at all after another member at .Com ran into the same thing with a different HP laptop trying to run Napoleon.
