Powerful faction lost randomly for no reason!
Hello, in my campaign i was playing Spain and i owned half all of the territory on the left side of the HRE but just a few turns after the plauge event the HRE just randomly lost they were not even under attack it was just random and they im sure they still had a few family members around.
Can bankruptcy cause a faction to lose? Maybe it was just a bug? I'd like your opinion's on this.
Thank you!

I think somehow all enemy Family members died. You can use ~ and then toggle_fow off to see if they have any family members left.

I have used the toggle fow off and there seems to be many rebel german family members everywhere, i think due to bankruptcy and the plague there was lots of civil unrest and allof their forts and towns went rebel?

Well in that case, it's probable that the ones who didn't rebel were killed by the plague. It's still odd though, they would have had to have died on the same turn, otherwise more would have been adopted.

It's possible the so called family members you were seeing were actually just generals of the HRE. Because the HRE has both generals and family members, so perhaps all the actual family members died, and therefore the HRE died

All the family died.
I saw it happen to the Byzantines once. They owned all of Turkey and most of the Balkans.
